birthday girl my ass. i can sum up this book in a few words and save yalls time from reading this book.

👄Lets start from the beginning now shall we...

little miss cucumber (aka me) had heard about a book that was very much and i mean extremely much hyped about. obviously my expectations were very high but were never met. I had read a few books of miss queen of angst before and thot that this too would turn out to be amazeballss. 

but oh dear god was I wrong. it was okay at first but nothing was even happening in the book like nothing at all. 

lets make one thing clear, I in no means liked this book the reason being 🠊NO PLOT WHATSOEVER!

👄Lets talk about the book now...

the story revolves around a 19 yr old girl JORDAN who's dating her 19 yr old boyfriend COLE.

they've got money problems and eventually get kicked out of their apartment becuz of cole's idiotic behavior.  *like c'mon cole cud u be more useless.*

they have no place to go and end up living in cole's dad's (a 38 yr old nigga -PIKE the great) house. 🙄

 

I'm sure y'all must've guessed what happens next.

its obvious that jordan and Mr. pike(the great) have undenying feelings for each other but try to shove it inside cuz its "forbidden". *my asss*

but that was not what annoyed me. the age gap also never got to me.

cole the loser cheats on jordan the hardworker and leaves pike's house. now its just the two of them....oooohh sum gonna happen. 

literally nothing happens at all. and that is what annoys me. 

just these two hooking up behind everyone's back, getting caught, feeling guilty, jordan fleeing away to sum random place, pike tracking her down and them getting back together. like WHAT?!?!

there was nothing to look foward to. 

BUTT! then again it is a penelope douglass book so there wasnt a shortage of all the sex scenes(not that im complaining😏). and might i say they are hella steamy. she will never compromise on the (unessecary) number of times the char hookup even if a plot doesnt exist. that's a guarantee y'all!

so that's pretty much all i have to say about this book.
